Wisteria Wedding Gown
A wedding gown I designed when I was pregnant last year. I initially was inspired by wisteria with the lace placement on the bodice, but then it started looking like a morning glory with the ombre skirt ... and I used hydrangea petals... so it's a floral bouquet inspired wedding dress.
Belle Town Dress
I drew some inspiration from the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast for this dress. I fell deeply in love with the blue silk in a shop and although it wasn't what I was expecting to use, I'm so pleased with the result. The bodice features a custom embroidery design and a handmade ribbon rosette.
Sunset Wisteria Gown
I wanted to play with dyeing fabric again, so I created the Wisteria gown with a sunset motif!
Every Halloween I love watching Hocus Pocus and one day I would love to make a trio of costumes for myself - because let's face it, the costumes will only get better as we age! This dress was for a client who want it to have a little more sparkle than the movie. I dyed and embroidered a fun moon brocade with flowers and spiders and painting the whole costume to have more of an aged look.
Lolita Inspired Dwarf
This was a commission for a client who found fan art based on Bofur the Dwarf from Lord of the Rings. The commission was a huge team effort, my mom actually knitted the removable sweater! My assistant and I had a great time working with many different textures when making the coat and skirts.
I made this after I made Jasmine's Cinderella gown for a client on a budget. It's a much less heavy version of the first gown I made, but I do think it's very lovely. I used handmade organza butterflies and lots of crystals!
This is a gown I created for a client who enjoyed the new parks dress. She had found the pale yellow burnout velvet and I went from there. I enjoyed making the little hidden mickey with fabric flowers.
Red Flapper Fairy
This dress was inspired by the sequined fabric I found. It was part of my Flapper Fairy collection.
Blue Flapper Fairy
After I learned how to make fabric flowers I needed an excuse to make as many as possible for practice. This and the Pink Flapper Fairy dress were the result.
White Flapper Fairy
The Flapper Fairy collection was based on a dress I found in a book of vintage dresses, I used the shape as the base for the white flapper fairy.
Pink Flapper Fairy
Miss Little Town
I created this gown for a genderbent villains group a few years ago. When I chose Gaston, I considered if Gaston was a woman, how would she fit into society. I chose a pageant queen because like hunters they can be controversial in some groups - with some holding them in high regard and others in contempt. I chose the title of "Miss Little Town" for the pageant title and imagined that Miss Gaston's talent was something like throwing knives.
Red Jasmine Designer Doll
This dress was inspired by a designer doll! I created it for Charis Lincoln who was the first person I made a Jasmine for when I first started Glimmerwood. The Modesty corset was designed specifically for her! On this piece I used it as an extended belt.
Sweet 15 Dress
This dress was for a girl for her sweet 15 party. The client helped design her outfit and chose the colors. There was also a shorter skirt underneath for dancing throughout the night!
